Dear Broward Days Members,

 

Welcome to Broward Days 2012! This year’s Legislative Session came upon us very fast and as they all do, it carries its own unique set of challenges. To meet them, our Issues Teams organized themselves early and have long been at work defining their positions.

 

It is no surprise that the overwhelming theme of this year’s Broward Days “Energize Broward – Powering Florida’s New Economy” is focused on rebuilding the economy and creating jobs. To work toward this goal, Broward Days has joined in the local effort to make Broward County a certified 6 Pillars community – linking into the Florida Chamber’s 6 Pillars economic plan. Broward Days, of course will support the legislative aspects of the project. Our issue teams have aligned themselves according to the 6 Pillars in respect to this.

 

As always, I’d like to give my deepest thanks to our generous sponsors and our loyal Broward Days members. This is an inspiring year, with many new members of the Board of Directors, new Team Leaders and general members. Without this support, we would not reach our goals.

 

A very active and exciting Tallahassee visit is planned this year, and you will notice some new additions and changes while retaining the basics of our traditions. I look forward to seeing you all in Tallahassee!
